What it is like
Playa de Cervigón, also known as El Rinconín, extends San Lorenzo beach in the city of Gijón. Its 250 metres of dark sand and 10-metre width form an urban frontage with a seafront promenade, high visitor numbers and conditions combining calm waters with moderate surf. The El Rinconín-La Ñora path starts here; it is 9.3 kilometres long and suitable for walking and cycling. Access is easy on foot or by car, with an urban bus service, parking, toilets, showers and summer lifeguard services.
