What it is like
Playa de Reixa Grande is a tiny, isolated beach of golden sand, rock and gravel, set against a mountain slope. Its 48-metre length and 15-metre width receive little use because access by land is practically impossible. In addition, the beach almost completely disappears at high tide, making its physical presence especially changeable. The vegetated surroundings form part of the Natura 2000 Network and the Site of Community Importance (SCI). The approach is on foot and difficult, from the Buño to Malpica road.
