Playa de Canido extends Praia Maior de Malpica to form a single beach with it, a feature that defines its coastal identity. It is an urban beach 135 metres long and 60 metres wide, made up of white and golden sand, with a promenade and protection from the Natura 2000 Network and the Site of Community Importance (SCI). Its waters have moderate waves and use is high. Access on foot is easy, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles, an interurban connection 0.2 km away, and facilities including showers, cleaning and a surfing area.
