What it is like
Playa de Riás II is an isolated, lightly occupied beach formed by golden sand and rock in a mountainous, vegetated landscape. Its 450 metres in length and 40 metres in width create a beach of considerable dimensions, integrated into the Natura 2000 Network and the Site of Community Importance (SCI). Usual conditions alternate between moderate and strong waves, without the listing attributing any particular use to this. The main access is by car via the Buño to Malpica road, with an interurban bus line 2 kilometres away; barbecues and tables are nearby.
