What it is like
Playa de San Miro is a small, isolated beach of golden sand, rock and gravel, located in the parish from which it takes its name. A mountain slope borders a 127-metre-long, 30-metre-wide space with vegetation, protected by the Natura 2000 Network and the Site of Community Importance (SCI). The beach practically disappears at high tide, a decisive feature in understanding its changing scale. It is reached on foot via a difficult route; there is a tarmac track and parking for fewer than 50 vehicles.
