What it is like
Playa de Porto Negros is a pristine, practically deserted beach where rock and pebbles dominate over a narrow strip of sand. Its 140 metres of length and only 5 metres of width explain the feeling of a narrow, isolated site shaped by the surrounding mountain landscape. Vegetation and protection as a Site of Community Importance (SCI) complete a little-transformed setting, with low occupancy and moderate swell. Access is difficult and is on foot from the C-550; there is interurban transport, although the stop is in the vicinity of the road. The listing itself warns that there is very little sand.
