Playa Area Blanca is a virgin beach in Carnota sharing characteristics with Porto Negros: rocks, little sand and virtually no visitors. Its 150-metre length and 20-metre width lie before a mountainous frontage, with vegetation and protection as a Site of Community Importance (SCI). Usual conditions include moderate surf. Access is difficult on foot from the C-550, with signposting and an interurban bus service.
