What it is like
Playa Xivares is understood as a group popularly made up of Xivares 1 and Xivares 2 or Peñamaría. The result is a semi-urban beach of white sand, 800 metres long and 75 metres wide, set in a mountainous landscape and accompanied by vegetation. Visitor numbers are high and the swell moderate, while the record also identifies it as an urban and sporting beach. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the AS-239, with between 50 and 100 parking spaces. There are toilets, showers, an accessible promenade, food and sports services.
