What it is like
Playa de Candás, also known as La Pregona, is located beside the port of Candás, within its protected area. Its golden sand occupies 240 metres of length and 65 metres of width, in an urban frontage with calm waters, a promenade and high visitor numbers. Access is easy on foot or by car via the AS-239, with an interurban bus service from Oviedo, Gijón and Luanco. Practical facilities include toilets, showers, a tourist office, hospitality services, watersports hire, a yacht club and lifeguard services.
