Playa El Portus combines a semi-urban, mountainous frontage with a small beach of golden sand and gravel, 130 metres long and 30 metres wide. The beach is linked to the GR-92 and to an area protected as ZEPA, with vegetation, anchorage and conditions ranging from moderate to strong waves. Access is easy on foot, by car or by boat via the Cartagena-Isla Plana-Mazarrón road, with between 50 and 100 parking spaces. It has toilets, foot-washing points, food and basic cleaning services.
