What it is like
Playa de Fatares is an isolated beach on a mountainous coast, small in width but extended in length: it measures 400 metres and is barely 15 metres wide. The mixture of golden sand and gravel, together with the vegetation and protected natural setting, defines a landscape without development and with low occupancy. The GR 92 runs nearby and the Batería de Costa de Monte de Roldán is close. Access on foot is difficult, so it can also be reached by boat; it has no beach services.
