What it is like

Playa El Bombo is a narrow strip of sand and rock in a highly developed area, at the western end of La Cala de Mijas and level with Torrenueva. Its 622-metre length and 35-metre width form an urban frontage with a promenade, vegetation and protection within the Calahonda Special Area of Conservation. The usual waters are calm and there is a boat launching area. It is easily accessed on foot or by car via the A-7, with between 50 and 100 parking spaces and adapted facilities.
