Playa del Chaparral is a narrow 1,300-metre coastal strip beside the road, alternating rocky sections and sandy areas with well-preserved coastal vegetation. Its semi-urban frontage is near Faro de Calaburra and forms part of Zona de Especial Conservación Calahonda; occupancy is low and the waters are calm. Access on foot can be difficult, although it can also be reached by car via the A-7, with parking for more than 100 vehicles. Toilets, showers, catering and parasol hire complete the facilities.
