What it is like
Playa de Hondarribia lies between Cape Higer and the mouth of the Bidasoa estuary, with a lateral groyne running from north to south and contributing to its formation. The white sandy beach measures 700 metres long and 232 metres wide, with an urban frontage, seafront promenade, vegetation and calm waters. Attendance is high. It can be reached on foot, by car or by boat; there are more than 100 parking spaces, an interurban bus, a marina and adapted services with rigid walkways and assisted toilets.
