What it is like
Playa de Eretzin Zabala is not a sandy beach but a small rocky platform 38 metres long and barely 5 metres wide, located on the mountainous slope of Jaizkibel, west of Cape Higer. Its formations, described as resembling balls, warts and petrified seals, are the most recognisable feature of this coastal landscape. Vegetation accompanies a space included in the Natura 2000 Network, within the Jaizkibel Site of Community Importance (SCI) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC). Access is difficult and is on foot from the GI-3440 road; the listing also notes diving.
