Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa Cala Montgó is located beside Monte del Montgó, from where the surrounding cliffs can be seen. Its golden sand occupies a semi-urban frontage 210 metres long and 80 metres wide in summer, with waters described as crystal-clear, moderate waves and windy conditions. At the top of the mountain, a small tower remains, with views over the bay of Roses. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the GI-623, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and an anchorage area.
