Playa Azucenas forms a long strip of dark sand between the Port of Motril and Torrenueva, 2,100 metres long and 30 metres wide. Its isolated character, low occupancy and moderate waves create an open, lightly equipped beach. Facilities are limited to litter bins, cleaning and a boating club, while the stated access is easy on foot and there is also an interurban bus connection. The N-340 serves as the road reference for the surroundings.
