What it is like
Playa Poniente, also known as Pelaillo, is one of Motril's busiest beaches and has a clearly urban profile. Its 1,795 metres of length and 140 metres of width combine dark sand and shingle, with a promenade lined by relatively tall buildings. The urban frontage and the beach's breadth define its appearance. It can be accessed on foot, by car or by boat, with parking for more than 100 spaces and urban transport. Practical services include toilets, showers, catering, boating hire and adapted facilities.
