What it is like
Playa de los Muertos is an extensive white-gravel beach on the northern edge of Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve, and close to a cement factory. Its isolated mountain strip is 1,160 metres long and 70 metres wide, with moderate waves and low occupancy. It is reached on foot from the AL-5106; there is parking for more than 100 vehicles, including monitored parking, as well as a bus service, litter bins and cleaning.
