What it is like
Playa de Lobadiz is an isolated beach in Ferrol, recognisable for its combination of golden sand, boulders and rock at the foot of a cliff frontage. Its small extent, 75 metres in length and 15 metres in width, is accompanied by views of the Gabeiras islands and clear waters in which the remains of a shipwreck are preserved. It forms part of a Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Site of Community Importance (SCI), with vegetation in the surroundings, and has strong waves and wind. It is accessed by car via the DP-3607, with signposting and an interurban bus line 1.5 kilometres away.
