What it is like
Playa de Lumebo retains the character of an isolated, lightly occupied beach set beside a cliff frontage. The beach, of golden sand and rock, measures 180 metres in length and 20 metres in width, a scale that contrasts with the particularly demanding access on the final section. Its waters have strong waves and wind, while the vegetated surroundings are included in a Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Site of Community Importance (SCI). It is reached on foot via a difficult route from the DP-3608 turn-off, and there is an interurban bus line 1.5 kilometres away.
