Playa de la Zurriola extends as a broad urban beach of golden sand beside the mouth of the Urumea and near Punta de Monpas. Its 800 metres of length and 110 metres of width form an open frontage, with a seafront promenade, high occupancy and strong, windy waves; according to the description, surfing is common. Access is easy on foot or by car, with parking for more than 100 vehicles and several transport lines. There are toilets, showers, catering, a sports area and lifeguard services.
