What it is like
Playa de Gabota belongs to the group of five small adjoining beaches comprising Mar de Lira, Portocubelo, Tras de Punta, Porto Ancho and Gabota itself. Its frontage, 150 metres long and 20 metres wide, combines sand and white rock on an isolated mountain stretch, with vegetation and protection by the Natura 2000 Network. Moderate waves and low occupancy complete the site’s secluded character. It is accessed by car from the C-550, with signposting and an interurban bus service. The listing also records adapted access for people with reduced mobility, an unusual practical detail in this coastal group.
