Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa Mar de Lira forms part of a chain of five small, contiguous, rustic and little-frequented beaches, together with Portocubelo, Tras de Punta, Porto Ancho and Gabota. Its 400 metres combine white sand and rock along a stretch 40 metres wide, with vegetation and protection from the Natura 2000 Network. The semi-urban frontage and calm waters temper its isolated character. It is accessed by car from the C-550, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles; there are showers, foot-washing stations, bins, cleaning, food and a play area.
