What it is like
Playa del Ejido is a small beach on the municipal boundary between Mijas and Fuengirola. It measures 230 metres long and 20 metres wide, with sand described as medium-grained and light in colour, although the entry records fine sand. Its semi-urban character, calm waters and protection under the Calahonda Special Area of Conservation define the setting. Access is easy on foot or by car from the A-7, with more than 100 parking spaces, a bus service, showers, toilets and food establishments.
