What it is like
Playa de A Areosa is an isolated beach of dark greyish sand, rounded stones and rock, located at the foot of a cliff and protected as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and Biosphere Reserve. It is 50 metres long and 40 metres wide, although the latter varies between 1 and 40 metres; the waves are moderate. It is easy to reach on foot from the N-634, with upper parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and a small picnic area with tables. The listing records litter bins and cleaning during the summer season.
