Playa Os Bloques occupies a 100-metre stretch between the Vilavella inlet and Mirasol pier, in the Ribadeo estuary. It is a semi-urban beach of golden sand, 30 metres wide, with calm waters and a setting protected as a Special Area of Conservation (ZEC), Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA), Ramsar site and Biosphere Reserve. The seafront promenade and vegetation accompany a coast that also has an anchorage area. It is easily reached on foot and has fewer than 50 parking spaces, as well as toilets, showers, foot-wash facilities and cleaning during the stated season.
