What it is like
Playa de Viodo is an isolated cove in the Paisaje Protegido del Cabo Peñas, enclosed beneath cliffs and surrounded by vegetation. Its small strip of golden sand measures 80 metres long and 25 metres wide, in a setting also protected as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) and a Site of Community Importance (SCI). The beach has moderate surf and difficult access on foot from the AS-239. The listing records no infrastructure or beach services; it only links the beach to Puerto Deportivo de Luanco.
