What it is like
Playa de Sant Martí d'Empúries combines a golden-sand beach with a dune frontage and a semi-urban setting linked to the protected coastal landscape. Its 300 metres of length and 40 metres of width are accompanied by a seafront promenade and vegetation, while an artificial groyne separates this beach from El Riuet and provides protection from wind and sea currents. The usual swell is moderate and there may be wind. It is easily reached on foot or by car, with more than 100 parking spaces, and there are full services and adapted accessibility.
