What it is like
Playa del Riuet is an extensive sandy beach situated very close to the ruins of the ancient city of Ampurias, the main attraction of its surroundings. Its 600 metres of length and 40 metres of width extend before a semi-urban frontage, with a seafront promenade, vegetation and moderate swell often accompanied by wind. The southern part is also called La Miranda beach after the viewpoint. It is reached on foot or by car and has showers, food service, cleaning services and a surfing area.
