What it is like
Río Tamuxe, also known as Playa de San Miguel, forms in a wetland area of the Miño river protected as Espacio Natural. It is a recently created artificial beach, 300 metres long and 20 metres wide, where golden-toned sand and rounded stones alternate. The wetland frontage, vegetation and Red Natura 2000 define a semi-urban setting with calm waters. Access is easy on foot or by car from the PO-552, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles and cleaning service.
