What it is like
Playa de Punta de la Plata, also known as Los Pinillos, is a very extensive and narrow urban beach: it reaches 2,300 metres in length with an average width of 15 metres. Its dark sand extends along a semi-urban frontage, with a seafront promenade, anchorage and moderate visitor numbers. Opposite the Padrón River there are seabeds with Posidonia meadows, according to the observations in the listing. It is easily reached on foot or by car from the A-7, with parking for more than 100 vehicles and an interurban bus service.
