What it is like
Playa de Primera y Segunda de Luarca forms the town's urban beach, measuring 480 metres long and 42 metres wide. Its dark sand and calm waters form part of an urban waterfront with a seafront promenade, vegetation and surroundings included in the Paisaje Protegido de la Costa Occidental, ZEPA and SCI. Occupancy is high and the coast includes an anchorage area. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the N-634, with more than 100 parking spaces. Practical facilities include toilets, showers, cleaning, a tourist office, a sailing club and nearby hospitality establishments.
