What it is like
Playa de Chousera is an isolated beach of rounded stones, small in proportion to the coast in the area, measuring 170 metres long and 25 metres wide. It opens before a cliff within Paisaje Protegido de la Costa Occidental, with vegetation and Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA) and Site of Community Importance (SCI) designations. Strong waves and low use form part of its identity. Access on foot from the N-634 is difficult. As a practical reference, there is a campsite nearby; Luarca is listed as the associated port.
