Playa Salinas, also called Tercera de Luarca, is an urban beach of dark sand situated in the town of Luarca. Its 250 metres of length and 75 metres of width are surrounded by an urban frontage, promenade and vegetation, within the Paisaje Protegido de la Costa Occidental. The swell is moderate and visitor numbers high. Access is easy on foot via the N-634; the colourful bathing huts around it and its toilets and showers provide its most recognisable and practical features.
