Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa Traba is a large rustic beach measuring 2,650 metres, formed at the mouth of several streams where a small lagoon develops. Its 45-metre width and white sand blend into a landscape of dunes, marshes and vegetation beside the Traba lagoon, designated a protected Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA). Low occupancy contrasts with the strong waves and wind that are usual here. It is accessible by car from the C-433, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles; there are toilets, showers, foot-washing facilities, cleaning, a play area and a surfing area.
