In the heart of the urban area, Playa Laxe comprises a broad beach of fine white sand measuring 1,400 metres long and 50 metres wide. Its urban frontage, seafront promenade and vegetation create a beach integrated into the inhabited centre, although it also forms part of a protected area classified as a Site of Community Importance (SCI). Moderate waves are among its usual conditions. It can be reached by car via the C-429, with more than 100 parking spaces, and the surrounding area has showers, food service, a tourist office and a yacht club.
