Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa San Telmo is a tiny urban cove 20 metres long and 20 metres wide, formed by sand and dark gravel between volcanic rocks. It is located beside Paseo de San Telmo and retains elements of its former landing place: a breakwater and steps allowing direct descent to the sea. Small pools form among the rocks when the tide goes out. Access is on foot, with a promenade, interurban bus service and facilities such as showers, accessible toilets and cleaning; the usual swell is moderate.
