Playa San Juan de Nieva, also known as El Espartal, is a beach 1,500 metres long and 60 metres wide, situated in a specially protected dune area. Golden sand, vegetation and strong swell define a semi-urban frontage with high visitor numbers. Its protection combines the designations of Natural Monument, ZEPA and Site of Community Importance (SCI). It is easily reached on foot or by car via the N-632, with more than 100 parking spaces, catering, a surfing area and adapted facilities.
