Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa de Salinas is an extensive urban beach of golden sand, 1,500 metres long and 110 metres wide. The promenade runs along a frontage of dunes and city, while the strong swell and high visitor numbers form part of its character. To the west, the promenade ends at a rocky promontory where the Museo de las Anclas is located. The beach is protected as a ZEPA and Site of Community Importance (SCI), and offers adapted access, more than 100 parking spaces, a nautical club, catering and a surfing area.
