Playa Meirás, also known as Playa do Río, is a large and very popular beach, 240 metres long and 150 metres wide. The golden sand forms part of a semi-urban frontage with vegetation, while strong waves and the windy character define its usual conditions. The surroundings are protected as a Site of Community Importance (SCI). Facilities include accommodation, a campsite, restaurants and services adapted for people with disabilities. It can be reached by car via the AC-116, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles.
