What it is like
Playa de Cano Grande, also known as De la Mina, is a small golden-sand beach isolated below a cliff frontage. Its 85 metres of length and 25 metres of width receive the prevailing wind and strong swell, features the record places at the centre of its coastal character. Vegetation and protection from the Site of Community Importance (SCI) complete the setting. It is reached by car via the AC-116, towards the Frouxeira lighthouse, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles; toilets and cleaning are available.
