At the foot of Santa Bárbara Castle, Playa del Postiguet occupies the urban heart of Alicante with a broad strip of golden sand. Its 667-metre length and average width of 40 metres extend beside a palm-lined seafront promenade, north of the port and beside the Levante breakwater. It is a very busy area with moderate wave conditions, accessible on foot or by car via the N-332, with more than 100 parking spaces and several urban bus routes. There are toilets, catering, nautical equipment hire and a sports area.
