Playa Calas de Cabo Huertas forms a natural coastal stretch within the protected surroundings of Alicante/Alacant. Vegetation helps define a coastal landscape distinct from the urban seafront and places these coves in direct relationship with the natural environment. The area is included in the Natura 2000 network and listed as a protected natural setting, with the N2 classification. Its identity rests on the combination of small inlets, vegetation and environmental protection.
