What it is like

Playa de Itzurun is distinguished by its spectacular cliffs and flysch, visible between Punta de Marianton and Algorri. The urban beach of golden sand measures 450 metres long and 75 metres wide, with a promenade and vegetation within the protected Deba-Zumaia coastal biotope. It has strong waves and is usually windy. Access is on foot or by car via the N-634; the Euskotren station is in Zumaia and there are toilets, accessible showers and a surf area.
