What it is like
Playa de Algorri is a stone beach that forms at low tide beyond Itzurun, on the eastern slope of Mount San Telmo. Its 25 metres in length and 35 metres in width are dominated by cliffs and a tidal platform, features that define the landscape. The surroundings are protected within the Deba-Zumaia coastal biotope and a strictly protected area. Access on foot is difficult; the Ruta del Flysch also allows the cliffs and tidal platform to be viewed, with Zumaia as the railway transport reference.
