Playa Benajarafe forms, together with Valle Niza, an extensive dark-sand beach along the coastline of Vélez-Málaga. Its 3,460 metres in length and 100 metres in width create a semi-urban stretch with a seafront promenade, vegetation and moderate waves; facilities are concentrated especially where the nearby housing developments reach the coast. The beach is adapted for people with disabilities and has environmental certification. The main access is by car from the N-340, with between 50 and 100 parking spaces and an interurban bus stop 50 metres away. It also offers showers, catering and boating services.
