What it is like
Playa Chilchez is a very extensive beach that is narrow in some sections, located beside the N-340 road. Its 2,500 metres in length and 25 metres in width feature dark sand, vegetation and a semi-urban frontage, with moderate waves and low occupancy. Several nearby housing developments provide many of its users, although the landscape retains a direct relationship with the road and the open coastline. Access is by car, with more than 100 parking spaces and an interurban bus service 50 metres away. Services include showers, catering and sunbed hire.
