Playa Area Cova forms, together with Francón, part of a group of similar beaches on Cangas's semi-urban coast. It is a white-sand beach 250 metres long and 20 metres wide, surrounded by vegetation, with calm waters, an anchorage area and high occupancy. Access is signposted and easy on foot or by car, with parking and an interurban bus service. There are showers, litter bins, cleaning, food service and monitoring with first aid according to the listing.
