What it is like
Playa de Nueva is an isolated beach in Tazacorte, narrow and elongated: it reaches 470 metres in length but is only 7 metres wide. The shore combines dark sand and rounded stones, at the foot of a cliff and within a protected area classified as a Site of Community Importance (SCI), Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and Biosphere Reserve. Low visitor numbers and the absence of services reinforce its secluded character, while moderate waves form part of its usual conditions. Access is by car via the LP-2132, with parking and an interurban transport connection in the surroundings.
